October 6, 2020 - US Bank has been a financial supporter of EANDC since 2012. We have benefited from having David Buchanan, a US Bank District Manager, on our Board of Directors since 2011, and as Chairman of our Board since 2018.
US Bank employees have volunteered at EANDC since 2018, helping in our community gardens and in a neighborhood public space development.
Over 80% of our tenants and program participants are people of color. In the neighborhoods we own properties, at least 50% of the residents are African American. We are honored to receive funds from the Rebuild and Transform US Bank Foundation Fund, which addresses systemic economic and racial inequities in small business, housing and workforce advancement.
Cheryl Stephens, President and CEO of EANDC, said the following, “US Bank has been a great long-term partner of ours. Now, more than ever, the communities we serve need the work that EANDC undertakes. US Bank’s recent $100,000 investment will enable us to strengthen the communities we serve by providing affordable housing, practical homeownership opportunities, and neighborhood-based revitalization efforts. ”
