Our organization celebrated remarkable achievements in 2023. Even though interest rates soared, materials and supplies became scarce, and the great resignation affected staff EANDC remained strong. With the support of our business and community partners, EANDC continues to serve, support and help improve our communities.
When looking at our affordable rental housing, our ability to maintain a 94% occupancy rate, exceeding national averages, helps meet the ongoing demand for quality housing in our region. This success is not just a statistic; it represents hundreds of families finding safe, secure, affordable homes and better futures for their families and loved ones. Our responsible financial stewardship ensures that we can continue creating housing opportunities and providing essential training and programs for years to come.
These achievements are only possible because of our dedicated board, staff, volunteers, and partners. Our collaborations with our business community, local organizations and government leaders have been the pillars of our success, proving that when we work together, we can achieve incredible outcomes. As we move into the future, we are more confident than ever that we are building a stronger, more vibrant Akron Region where our citizens have a solid foundation of housing to empower their financial success.
